Effective date: September 3, 2026
Baseball Voices respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit baseballvoices.com or place an order with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal jargon.
Who we are
Baseball Voices produces and sells commemorative audio tributes, scorecards, and related memorabilia. Our website address is https://baseballvoices.com and our mailing address is 2033 N. Milwaukee Ave., Box 250, Riverwoods, IL 60015.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fill it: your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. If you are ordering a personalized item, we also collect whatever details you provide in the order notes, such as the name you would like inscribed.
If you use our contact form or join our mailing list, we collect the name and email address you enter there.
Payment information
We do not collect or store your credit card number. Payments are processed by PayPal, which handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the billing information attached to the order.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours automatically records basic technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. This is used to keep the site working, secure, and reasonably fast.
How we use your information
- To process, package, and ship your order.
- To contact you about your order — including calling you to confirm the details of a personalized item before it is signed.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To send you news and offers, but only if you have asked to receive them.
- To keep records required for accounting, tax, and returns.
- To protect the site and our customers against fraud and abuse.
About your phone number
We ask for a phone number at checkout because many of our items are personalized by hand, and a quick phone call is often the fastest way to confirm a spelling or a detail before the item is signed and shipped. We use your phone number only to contact you about your own order. We do not use it for telemarketing, we do not add it to any calling list, and we do not give it to anyone outside of what is needed to deliver your order.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not your name, not your email address, not your phone number, not your mailing address. There is no exception to this and we do not make money that way.
When we share information
We share your information only with the companies that help us run the store, and only to the extent they need it:
- Shipping carriers such as the U.S. Postal Service or UPS, who need your name and address to deliver your package.
- PayPal, which processes payments.
- Our website host and service providers, who keep the site running and secure.
- Constant Contact, which manages our mailing list, if you have signed up for it.
- Law enforcement or government agencies, if we are legally required to respond to a valid request.
If Baseball Voices is ever sold or transferred, customer information could transfer with the business. Any new owner would remain bound by this policy.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser. They are what allow your shopping cart to remember what you put in it, keep you logged in if you have an account, and help us understand which pages people visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store may not work correctly if you do.
Email and our mailing list
We send email newsletters only to people who have signed up for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop email about an order you have placed.
How long we keep your information
We keep order records for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy accounting, tax, and legal requirements. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and your rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws, including in California and the European Union. We honor those requests regardless of where you live. To make a request, use the contact form on our Contact Us page.
Please note that we may need to keep certain order records even after a deletion request, where the law requires us to.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Our site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payment information is handled by PayPal rather than stored on our servers. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date at the top.
