The short version
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
- Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking charge, plus postage.
- Return shipping is paid by you, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
- Personalized items cannot be returned once they have been inscribed.
- If an item arrives damaged or defective, we make it right at no cost to you.
Before you send anything back
Please contact us first, at 847-867-3682 or through our contact form, so we can give you return instructions and the correct address. Items sent back without contacting us first may be delayed or refused.
Condition of returned items
To be eligible for a return, an item must be in the same condition you received it, with its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. CDs and other recorded media must be unopened. An opened CD can only be returned if it is damaged or defective, in which case we will replace it.
If an item comes back damaged, incomplete, or showing use, we may reduce the refund accordingly or decline the return.
Personalized and inscribed items
Scorecards, hand-written calls, and other items personally inscribed by Pat Hughes are made to order for you. Once your name has been written on a piece, it cannot be sold to anyone else, so personalized items are not returnable, exchangeable, or refundable. The two exceptions are an item that arrives damaged, and an inscription that does not match what you asked us for. In both cases, contact us and we will take care of it.
If you need to change or cancel a personalized order, call us as soon as possible. We can make changes up until the item has been inscribed.
The 15% restocking charge
Returned items carry a 15% restocking charge, which is deducted from your refund, along with any postage costs. For example, on a returned $20 CD the restocking charge is $3.
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged in the mail, or an item is defective, contact us promptly and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not pay a restocking charge or return postage in that situation. It helps if you can tell us what happened and, where possible, send a photo.
How refunds are issued
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to let you know it arrived and whether the refund was approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original method of payment through PayPal. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take several days for the credit to appear on your statement.
If a refund has not shown up after a reasonable time, check with your bank or card company first, then contact us and we will look into it.
Order cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, call us as soon as you can. If it has not shipped, we will cancel it and refund you in full with no restocking charge.
Shipping notes
We ship within the United States only. Return shipping costs are your responsibility and are not refundable. If you are returning a higher-priced item, we recommend a trackable shipping service, since we cannot issue a refund for a return that never reaches us.
